Houston traffic and online medication refills
I-10, I-45 and Loop 610 can turn a routine appointment into a lengthy errand. Patients in Katy, Spring, Pearland, Cypress and the Energy Corridor may be able to request an online clinical review without traveling to an office.
Online intake is not instant prescribing. No controlled medications, guaranteed refills or emergency treatment.
What to know before you request a review
A stable maintenance medication is not automatically appropriate for renewal. Clinicians may need recent blood pressure measurements, laboratory results, a video conversation or in-person examination.
Can I submit after work?
You may submit an online intake outside typical office hours, but clinical review, response time and prescription decisions depend on staff availability and clinical appropriateness.
Which medications may be considered?
Examples include established treatment for blood pressure, thyroid disease, cholesterol, type 2 diabetes or reflux when appropriate. Recent readings, medication history, laboratory data and a follow-up plan may be necessary.
